An electromechanical parts sends an electrical signal that results in a mechanical change, such as a door opening or a motor turning. Electromechanical parts can use an electrical current generated by it electronic component to generate a magnetic field to generate physical movement in the mechanical component. All types of electronic connectors and switches are electro mechanical parts.
Plastic molded or encapsulated electronic components are increasingly used to meet requirements for smaller, lighter, and more compact designs of electronic parts. Such components usually consist of stamped circuit patterns (lead frames) which are coated in the contacting areas with functional surface layers. They serve as the electrical connectors of the electronic component to the external wiring. The lead frames are over-molded with plastics or mounted into plastic molded parts.
